    Article summary

    The Alerts & Notifications section allows you to add, edit, or delete alerts and notifications, configure email alerting, and view existing alert notifications.

    When you click on this tab, the Alerts & Notifications page opens with the following tabs:

    • Nectar Score Locations
    • Nectar Score Users
    • Poor Calls

    These are explained in the following sections.

    Nectar Score Locations

    When you click on the NS Locations tab, you can view a list of alerts that were created for calls with a specific Nectar score and monitored location(s). You can add a new alert or edit an existing alert. You can also delete an alert.

    Add a New Location Alert

    1. Click Add Alert.
    2. The Add Alert page opens.
    3. Enter the Display Name (up to 20 characters).
    4. Select the Locations that the alert will monitor using the dropdown.
    5. Select an Alerting Time (Last Hour, Last Day, or Realtime) to configure the timeframe of the alert.
      1. If Last Day is selected, set the time at which the alerts will be delivered.
    6. Select a Time Zone.
    7. Configure the Threshold Options to govern when the alert will trigger.
      1. Set the Average Nectar Score, such that the alert will trigger when scores are recorded below the average.
      2. Set the Minimum Total Sessions to prevent an alert from unnecessarily triggering due to bad sampling.
    8. Configure the Additional Options.
      1. Select a Platform(s) to which this alert will apply.
      2. Select a Modality(s) to which this alert will apply(e.g. Audio).
      3. Select a Session Type(s) to which this alert will apply (e.g. Peer To Peer).
      4. Use the Duration setting to exclude calls with a duration of zero.
    9. Select the Alert Mechanism(or both).
      1. Selecting Email will reveal the Email Options panel at the top right of the screen, where you must enter the recipient, and can provide a subject and message body.
        Email Recipients
        To enter multiple recipients, please separate the emails with commas.

      2. Selecting Event will cause this alert to create an alert viewable in the Historical Events tab of Events. For more details, see Events.
    10.  Click Add. The new alert is added to the list of alerts on the NS Locations tab.
      1. Notice that the Is Enabled check box is selected, which means the alert has been enabled.

    Edit a Location Alert

    1. Click the Edit  button next to the alert you want to edit. The Edit Alert page opens.
    2. Make changes to the alert parameters, as needed.
    3. Click Save. Or, click Cancel.

    Delete a Location Alert

    1. Click the Delete button next to the alert you want to delete. 
    2. The Delete Alert dialog opens, click Delete. Or, click Cancel
    3. The alert is removed from the list of alerts on the NS Locations tab.

    Nectar Score Users

    When you click on the NS Users tab, you can view a list of alerts that were created for calls with a certain call quality percentage for a monitored user(s). You can add, edit, and delete alerts.

    Add a New User Alert

    1. Click Add Alert.
    2. The Add Alert page opens.
    3. Enter the Display Name (up to 20 characters).
    4. Configure the Threshold Options to govern when the alert will trigger.
      1. Set the Nectar Score Percentage, such that the alert will trigger when scores are recorded below the percentage.
    5. Set the Monitored Users, which allows the alert to monitor All Users or only target certain groups.
    6. Configure the Additional Options.
      1. Select a Platform(s) to which this alert will apply.
      2. Select a Modality(s) to which this alert will apply(e.g. Audio).
      3. Select a Session Type(s) to which this alert will apply (e.g. Peer To Peer).
      4. Use the Duration setting to exclude calls with a duration of zero.
    7. Select the Alert Mechanism(or both).

    1. Click the Edit button next to the User alert you want to edit. The Edit Alert - Nectar Score page opens.
    2. Make changes to the User alert parameters, as needed.

    Delete a User Alert 

    1. Click the Delete button next to the User alert you want to delete. The Delete Alert dialog opens.
    2. Click Delete. Or, click Cancel. The alert is removed from the list of alerts on the NS Users tab.

    Rooms & Devices Alerts

    When you click on the Rooms and Devices tab, you can view a list of alerts that were created for specific devices. You can add, edit, and delete alerts.

    Add a New Room & Devices Alert

    1. Click Add Alert.
    2. The Add Alert page opens.
    3. Enter the Display Name (up to 20 characters).
    4. Select Rooms or Devices.
    5. Use the Rules Builder to select which Rooms/Devices will be monitored by the alert.
    6. Select a Time Zone.
    7. Configure the Additional Options.
      1. Select a Platform(s) to which this alert will apply.
      2. Select a Modality(s) to which this alert will apply(e.g. Audio).
      3. Select a Session Type(s) to which this alert will apply (e.g. Peer To Peer).
      4. Use the Duration setting to exclude calls with a duration of zero.
    8. Select the Alert Mechanism(or both).

    Edit a Rooms & Devices Alert

    1. Click the Edit  button next to the alert you want to edit. The Edit Alert page opens.
    2. Make changes to the alert parameters, as needed.
    3. Click Save. Or, click Cancel.

    Delete a Rooms & Devices Alert

    1. Click the Delete button next to the alert you want to delete. 
    2. The Delete Alert dialog opens, click Delete. Or, click Cancel
    3. The alert is removed from the list of alerts on the tab.

    Poor Call Alerts

    When you click on the Poor Calls tab, you can view a list of alerts that were created for calls with poor quality by location or user. You can add, edit, and delete alerts.

    Add a New Poor Calls Alert

    1. Click Add Alert.
    2. The Add Alert page opens.
    3. Enter the Display Name (up to 20 characters).
    4. Use the Alerts Category to select whether to filter by Location or User.
      1. For the selected filter, identify which Users/Locations the alert will monitor.
    5. Select an Alerting Time (Last Hour or Last Day) to configure the timeframe of the alert.
      1. If Last Day is selected, set the time at which the alerts will be delivered.
    6. Select a Time Zone.
    7. Configure the Threshold Options to govern when the alert will trigger.
      1. Set the Poor Session Percentage, such that the alert will trigger when the percentage of poor sessions over total sessions is above the threshold.
      2. Set the Minimum Total Sessions to prevent an alert from unnecessarily triggering due to bad sampling.
    8. Select a Time Zone.
    9. Configure the Additional Options.
      1. Select a Platform(s) to which this alert will apply.
      2. Select a Modality(s) to which this alert will apply(e.g. Audio).
      3. Select a Session Type(s) to which this alert will apply (e.g. Peer To Peer).
      4. Select a Session Scenario(s) to which this alert will apply (e.g. External).
      5. Select a Network Type(s) to which this alert will apply (e.g. Cellular).
    10. Select the Alert Mechanism(or both).
      1. Selecting Email will reveal the Email Options panel at the top right of the screen, where you must enter the recipient, and can provide a subject and message body.

    2. The Delete Alert dialog opens, click Delete. Or, click Cancel
    3. The alert is removed from the list of alerts on the tab.
