# Configuration (PUM)

This article will cover setting up **Partial User Monitoring** in the **Configuration** tab of **Advanced Settings** using two methods: **Active Directory Group** and **Manual User List**

## PUM by Active Directory Group

First, navigate to the **Data Sources** header in the **Configuration**:

Next, navigate to **Microsoft Teams** and click **Add Source** or **Edit an Existing Source****:**

**Select the** **Partial User Monitoring** **header and click the toggle:**

Lastly, set a value for **Maximum Allowed** and select a **Monitoring Group**, and click **Save**

## PUM by Manual User List

First, navigate to the **Data Sources** header in the **Configuration**:

Next, navigate to **Microsoft Teams** and click **Add Source** or ****Edit an Existing Source****:****

**Select the** **Partial User Monitoring** **header and click the toggle:**

Select **"Manual User List"** for the method:

Set a value for **Maximum Allowed** then use the file selector under **Import Users** to upload the user list, and click **Save**
