Overview
Notification by email is an important aspect of a monitoring environment. A Nectar RIG is able to deliver email messages for events triggered in the monitoring tool. Configuration of Microsoft Office 365 (O365) SMTP relay server in Nectar RIG allows us to send email notifications to Administrators or End users.

Add O365 to SMTP Relay Server
Audience
This guide is intended for system administrators or engineers who have system administration access and technical knowledge with deploying Nectar Foundation.
Supported Software Versions
- Nectar v8.7
Add O365 to SMTP Relay Server
Follow these steps to add O365 to the SMTP relay server.
- Perform the following to find the hostname for your server:
- Navigate to
https://mxtoolbox.com/
- Enter your domain name or IP address in the MX Lookup text box.
- Take note of the Hostname provided (for later use).
- Open a RIG.

- Click on Configure > Report Manager.
The Configure Report Manager dialog window appears.

- Enter the following information:

Protocol | SMTP |
Port | 25 |
Username | O365 Username |
Password | O365 Password |

- Click Send Test Email to see if the email server setup is complete.
