    Article summary

This section has the following two tabs:

    • Locations
    • Geo-IP Locations

    Locations

Locations are configured on the ADMIN page (Locations). These are usually corporate/office locations but can also be configured for remote users or VPNs. Any session that cannot be matched to a configured location or contains incomplete data is classified as an Unknown Location.

This section provides the session statistics by location based on the applied filters, including:

    • Corporate (default) locations: These monitored locations are titled as headquarters or owned by a corporation.
    • External locations: These monitored locations are satellite, partner, or remote corporateowned locations.
    • Avg Nectar Score and Sessions: This data provides the quality of calls in percentages using a Nectar score and the total number of sessions by location.
    • Map: Shows location information and the number of sessions using the Nectar score.
    Note
The locations on the map will be displayed only if the geographical coordinates are known to the system.

On the Locations tab, you have the following two tabs:

    • Default
    • Custom

    DEFAULT

When you click on the Default tab, the following location, call quality, and session data is provided. You also see a map that shows selected location and session data.

    Topic

    Description

    Location

    • Shows a list of the filtered locations.
    • Locations are listed in the order of the best call quality (at the top) to the poorest call quality (at the bottom). Any unidentified locations are listed after that. These locations are also shown on the map.
    • To change how the list is sorted, click on the column headers (Location, Avg Nectar Score, or Sessions).
    • If you click on a location, you will be taken to the CALL DETAILS page for more information.

    Avg Nectar Score

    • Total provides the average Nectar score for call quality for all filtered locations.
    • Provides the quality of calls in percentages for each location using the Nectar score.
    • If you see a red down arrow next to a score, click to be taken to the CALL DETAILS page for more information. That location is also the one that shows on      the map.

    Sessions

    • Total provides the total number of sessions for all filtered locations.
    • Shows the total number of sessions for each location.
    • Session quantity is identified using the IP address of the session initiator, as the referenced for the location. Geographical information is then added in the form of coordinates, specifying the particular location mentioned.

    Map

    • Contains small pie charts, showing the number of sessions for a particular location or area.
    • The calls are flagged red if the Nectar score is poor (0-60%).
    • You can zoom in and out on the map using + or - located in the lower-right corner of the map.
    • You can click on the map; then move it left to right or up and down to view different areas of the map.
    • All calculations are based on the selected time period in the global filter.
    • If you click on a pie chart, you can view the location and the number of sessions by Nectar score.
    • If you click on one of the locations, you will be taken to the CALL DETAILS page for more information.

    CUSTOM

You can use the Custom tab to create your own custom list of locations that also includes the call quality using the Nectar score and total number of sessions.

To create your own list of locations, use the following steps.

    1. Clicknext to Location.
    2. Select the location(s) that you want to add to your custom list.
    3. Click Apply. Deselect All clears all selections.

    Geo-IP Locations

The Geo-IP tab provides a list of locations that are determined by referencing a Geo-IP repository of public IP addresses to the external IP address of the call participants. Note that not all monitored platforms provide external IP address information. Any session with unknown or unmatchable external IP addresses are classified as Unknown Geo-IP Location.

For descriptions on the location, call quality, and session data provided, see Default.
